Schools Pistol Championships 2018/19

2018-19 British Shooting Schools Pistol Championships returns bigger and better than ever!
The 2018-19 Championships consists of seven qualifying events in England, Scotland and Wales in October & November 2018, where athletes and teams will have the opportunity to win quota places to compete at the National Final, to be held at Stoke Mandeville, Bucks. on Wednesday 16th January 2019.
The Championships consists of Individual and Team events each in three age categories (Junior, Intermediate and Senior), all of which are mixed gender and physical ability. Disabled athletes who qualify for the National Final will have the opportunity to compete in the Disability class at the National Final.
British Shooting welcome all athletes to enter and represent their schooling establishment (home schooling is allowed). Talent Pathway opportunities are available during and following these Championships if athletes are interested in further activity.

British Shooting Schools Pistol Champs NATIONAL FINAL:
Wednesday 16th January 2019, held at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Buckinghamshire.
Individual Categories: All age categories are mixed gender and physical ability. Disability Class only at the National Final.
Team Categories: All age categories are mixed gender and physical ability. (A Team is the top three scoring athletes from the same school, in the same age category at that event. Team Score: Scores will be extracted from the athlete’s individual qualification round at that event and totalled to calculate their team score).
Junior: School Year 6, 7 & 8 (P6, P7 & S1)
Intermediate: School Year 9, 10 (S2 & S3)
Senior: School Year 11, 12 & 13 (S4, S5 & S6)
Who Qualifies for the National Final?
Individual: Top 3 Individual athletes from each age category at each qualifying event will automatically qualify.
Team: Top Team from each age category at each qualifying event will automatically qualify.
Championships Reserves: Following the conclusion of all the Qualifying Events:
Individual: Top 3 Championships Reserve athletes, from each age category, will qualify. (Reserve list calculated on athlete’s 20-shot qualification round)
Team: Top Championships Reserve Team from each age category will qualify.
National Final Disability Class:
The top 3 athletes from each age category at each qualifying event who have entered the championships stating a disability, will qualify for the National Final. Athletes can compete in the Disability Class only, or in both open and disability class if applicable.
